Juniata College

(Posted February 24, 2026)

HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Juniata College Museum of Art (JCMA) will host a double exhibition opening on Tuesday, March 3, from 5-6:30 p.m.

The event will celebrate the opening of both “Flashback: 150 Years of Juniata in Focus” and “Art/Life Limited Editions.” The reception is free and open to the public.

“Flashback: 150 Years of Juniata in Focus” honors the College’s sesquicentennial through a collage of images and glass negatives drawn from Juniata’s historic photography collection and chosen by students. Visitors are encouraged to consider all that has changed as well as what remains the same, with an interactive response wall for reflection.

“Art/Life Limited Editions” were the creation of artist and Ventura, Calif., art community leader Joe Cardella (1945-2018). Between 1981 and 2006, Cardella compiled and published a monthly journal comprised entirely of originals mailed to him by artists all over the world, with each edition numbering 200 copies. His publication, called “Communication for the Creative Mind,” was designed to build a world-wide community of artists and thinkers.

“Flashback: 150 Years of Juniata in Focus” and “Art/Life Limited Editions” will be on view at JCMA through April 11, 2026.

With free admission and extended evening hours, the Museum makes world-class art easily accessible close to home. JCMA is open to the public from 2 – 6 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday. JCMA will be closed Saturday, March 7, through Sunday, March 15, for Juniata’s spring break.
